Splashdamage Environment
It's been a while since I last posted, so here's something. I'm giving the splashdamage environment art test a go. I'm not sure whether I'll submit it or not, it's just for fun/practise really.
Anyways, here's some images:
The first one is a mock-up, with some placeholder models. Second images is the latest prop I've done for this 'map'.
Dominance War 4 has started!

Polycount Contests and Challenges thread: Polycount
Quickie : Parasol
OK since this one was much easier than the others I will post it all in once.
Quickie: Lowpoly lamppost
EDIT: Yeah yeah I forgot to put the little important part of it, here it is with the curly thing.
Quickie: High poly lamppost (with video)
OK this is my first time doing this time-lapse stuff.

Quickies: Low poly mailbox
Started working on the low poly, but I went over 1,5h. That is, low poly + UV mapping + setting it up for baking + diffuse + specular. So now im taking a break, the texture is very very work in progress as you can clearly see I have a simple overlaid texture :P. The normal map is very dirty as well, should clean it up a bit( Will redo the whole diffuse+specular some time soon). Anyways here's what I have so far:
Quickies: High poly mailbox
I decided to do these 'quickies' as often as possible. Basically I'll pick an object like lamppost, mailbox, window, bench, fountain etc and try to finish it as fast as possible. I think this will be a good way to practice my modelling skills. Anyways here's the first one, done in 1h.25m :
War is coming
Dominance War 4 is coming soon( March 12, 2009 ), so once again blood particles will be flying all over the place, polygons cut in many pieces and glow maps used to blind opponents.
Even though we all know that polycount is going to win the war, head over to the official site for more information and of course the juicy galleries: LINK

Marmoset Toolbag
The guys over at 8monkeylabshave released their "tool-bag". It basically is a awesome model viewer. You can load up your .obj models in it, select diffuse/normal/spec maps and it will render it for you in a great way. It has a lot more than this tho, so visit the thread started by the very talented artist from 8monkeylabs at the polycount forum.
Here is the link to the thread: http://boards.polycount.net/showthread.php?t=61346
And if you dont want to visit the thread here is a direct link to the tools: http://www.8monkeylabs.com/toolbag/toolbag_install.exe
And finaly, here is my sidewalk shown in the Marmoset editor:
